Membership shall be voluntary, without distinction of gender or abilities."

Try it out for FREE
Our Group welcomes new members. Want to try it out?
Contact the Group by email with some basic details (eg: child's name & age, what suburb you live in). One of our volunteers will connect you with the relevant Section Leader (see our page - Youth Sections and Leaders).
We offer 2-3 visits for FREE to try out Scouting, so you can make an informed decision decision. This is FREE and parents/guardians are welcome to stay.
After this, you'll be asked to register your child/ren. This formalises your relationship with our Group and Scouts Victoria, and carries many benefits.

How much does it cost?
For 2024-2025 year (1 April - 31 March), a single child (youth member) membership is $438. We also provide discounts to multiple memberships in each family.
If you join mid-year, the membership rate will be pro-rated. Ask your Leader for further details.
We're not for profit, so every dollar goes to keeping our Group and the Scouts movement running. Our Parents Committee sets fees and strives to minimise the cost of Scouting, and as parents of Youth Members, we have a vested interest in keeping costs down.
If you have financial stresses, please talk to your Section Leader, the Group Leader or Group President. We will work with you to find a way to keep your child/ren in the Group.
Other costs include a uniform shirt and any extra excursions or camps we plan through the year.
Child Safe Scouting
Scouts Victoria is a child safe organisation with zero-tolerance for any harm, abuse or neglect. We value the diversity of our members, including gender, sexuality, race, religion and ability.
All Leaders and Committee members carry current Working With Children Checks, with Leaders required to have a regular National Police Record Checks completed.
