Bunnings BBQ 7 June 2015 - CAN YOU HELP?

Hi everyone.

Last Wednesday night I asked parents present if they could help out for the upcoming Bunnings Coburg BBQ on Sunday 7 June 2015.  The BBQ is on 8am -4pm

Thanks to all the parents who offered and signed up - BUT WE NEED MORE HELPERS.

Can you please reply to me by Friday 8 May if you can help out during this fundraiser, including times you can assist.  My email is paulie.ferrari@bigpond.com.

Even 2 hours will make a huge difference

It's vital that we have enough people to staff this stall at Bunnings BBQ's as we only get two shots at it each year and if we don't have the people, we may need to share with another community group or worse cancel our booking.

We really need your support.

Bring: Scout Shirt and Scarf. All members MUST wear dark coloured or uniform beige pants and dark shoes (no runners) Neat and Tidy.

Members can wear their grandparent’s medals if they wish, but they must be on the RIGHT-hand side of their shirt.

Their Service - Our Heritage

It was introduced in 2000 for all members of Scouts Australia, with the intention of raising the level of awareness of the Youth Members about our Veterans, and providing Scout Members with the opportunity to actively participate in the “Their Service – Our Heritage” program.

It is an annual award and is achieved each year, with the year commencing on 25th April. The badge will have a different colour edging each year.

Participate in three activities relevant to “Their Service Our Heritage” – for example:

• Take part in an ANZAC Day march or ceremony
• Take part in Remembrance Day
• Invite a Veteran to you meeting to talk to you
• Visit a Veterans' Home or the local RSL Sub Branch
• Maintain you local Memorial
• Visit a Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

There will be no cubs on Thurs 23rd April as the Cubs will join the Scouts for the celebration activity linking.  Meet at the hall Wednesday 22nd April at 645pm,  we will be heading down to the park.
