Connie Tuddenham is the backbone of 1st Coburg Scout Group, serving for 38 years and as Group Leader for 31 years. 1st Coburg has maintained an unmatched commitment to youth development for 93 years. Under Connie’s leadership, the group grew from just three youth and one leader—fundraising with weekly supermarket sausage sizzles in 1988—to 100 youth and 13 leaders today.
Connie’s impact is highlighted by her commitment to inclusion, ensuring every young person finds a genuine sense of belonging regardless of background. This fosters a culture where youth develop resilience and leadership. 

A quiet achiever, Connie leads by example: managing membership, organising camps, first aid, fundraising, and keeping the lights on in the hall to maintain the group’s integrity. "It’s all about the kids" is her mantra.  So many youth have moved on from 1st Coburg equipped with practical life skills and a lifelong love of adventure. Connie’s ongoing 38-year commitment has shaped over a thousand young lives and ensured high-quality scouting remains available. "It’s been a long haul, and a success," she reflects.

Annual Registration & Fees 2026-2027

 

Dear 1st Coburg families,

 

The Parent’s Committee resolved the following fees to cover Scouts Victoria Registration, District Levies and Group Fees to cover the ongoing costs for the running of the Group.

 

·     1 youth member                                         $450.00

·     2 youth members                                       $840.00 ($60 discount)

·     3 youth members                                       $1,090.00 ($260 discount)

·     Children/grandchildren of Leaders           $288 per youth member

 

Family Volunteer Discount - Families who volunteered in 2025 will be contacted separately with the discount offer.

 

Payment is due by Friday 20th March 2026

Please keep your Internet banking or bank receipt as a record of your payment

 

If payment is not received in time, your child will lose their registration and be required to re-register with Scouts Victoria. This re-registration process incurs an additional fee.
