Welcome to our group
The parents, carers and leaders of 1st Coburg Scout Group welcome new youth members to our group!
We are a welcome and inclusive bunch, and we are delighted to have you on board!
Our group is completely volunteer run, so we rely on all families to help out when they can, show interest and get involved with the group. There are lots of opportunities for parents and carers to be involved - fundraising - helping out at fundraising events
helping keep the hall clean - join our roster to provide TLC to our hall
working bees - keep our hall in tip top shape
become a parent helper - help the leaders with events, activities & camps
join the committee - help keep the lights on in the hall and the admin of the group
join our team of incredible leaders - plan, lead and run engaging activities for our youth members
The more people we have involved, the stronger our group will be!

All families of youth members are expected to be involved in the group:
1. Assist with the cleaning of the hall at least once a term - it doesn't take much, and can be done while your youth attends Joeys/Cubs/Scouts. This keeps our hall in good condition for our youth and leaders to run interesting and engaging activities.
2. help out on at least one camp - having parent helpers on camps gives the leaders time to lead, parents help out with setting up, cooking, and packing up.
3. Join the committee for one term (one year) - we have a great committee, and we welcome new faces with fresh ideas at any point during the year.
