2017 ARAP is a wrap!

Hi all.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for the Group's ARAP (Our AGM).

We had one of the biggest turnouts in recent years with over 15 in attendance.

I am also pleased to advise the results of the Parent's Committee elections held at the ARAP.  Here are the names of your Committee Members for 2017-2018:

• Group Leader - Connie Tuddenham
• Group President - Paul Ferrari
• Group Treasurer - Liz Murray
• Group Secretary - Claire Coulson
• Group Quartermaster - Andrew Murray (aka 'Q')
• Group General Committee Members - Gina Kenah and Leila Byrne

The committee is the strongest it has been in many years, and going by the attendance and involvement at the ARAP by a number of parents, our Group is in great hands for the foreseeable future.

The annual presentation pack has been uploaded onto our Facebook Page for all to see.

Notice of ARAP meeting - 15 August 2017 (and Scout Raffle tickets are due back)

Notice of ARAP (our Group AGM) - Tuesday 15 August 2017 from 7pm

This is a key date of our Group to celebrate the year past and plan for the year ahead.  

We need a representative from each family at the meeting to make sure it's a success. Representatives from District will be in attendance.

The meeting will be held at the 1^st Coburg Scouts Hall, Carr Street Coburg North.  Refreshments will be served.

All parents are welcome to celebrate the last year, and to be part of setting up the Group for 2018.  Nominations will be called for the following Committee Member roles:

• Group President
• Group Secretary
• Group Treasurer
• Group Quartermaster
• Group Fundraising Co-Ordinator

Should you wish to nominate, please contact Group Leader Connie Tuddenham on 0408 320 028.

Where more than one nomination is received for any of these roles, an election by Group Parents will be held.

SCOUTS RAFFLE TICKETS - DUE back at hall on 16 & 17 AUGUST 2017

Please make sure you return your sold ticket stubs and money, along with any unsold tickets by this date so we can return them to Scouts Victoria and bank our fundraising proceeds. Make sure your kids have them for their Scout and/or Cub gatherings.

2017 - 2018 fees are now due

Dear 1^st Coburg families,

The Parent’s Committee resolved the following fees to cover Scout Victoria Registration and Group Fees to cover the ongoing costs for the running of the Group, including hall and equipment upkeep.

The Committee have strived to keep the increase as low as possible, and reassure families that these fees are some of the lowest charged in the District.  Charges are as follows:

AMOUNT:  

1        Child:                  $350.00

2        Children             $660.00 ($40 discount for 2^nd child)

3        Children             $850.00 ($200 discount for 2^nd & 3^rd child)

Payment is due by Friday 23^rd June 2017

Payments can be made via the following channels:

·       Internet Banking transfer to our account (preferred)

(Please use your family name as reference)

·       Direct Deposit cash directly at any Commonwealth Bank branch into our account (take this letter with you to enable the bank to process your deposit). Please email stamped receipt if using direct deposit to 1stcoburgscoutsgroup@gmail.com to allow us to verify your payment.

Please keep your internet banking or bank receipt as a record of your payment

If payment is not received in time, your child will lose their registration and be required to re-register with Scouts Victoria.  This re-registration process incurs an additional fee.

If you are unable to pay your fees on time, please contact Connie as soon as possible to discuss payment options to help keep your child/ren registered.
