COVID-19 Updates

Current COVID-19 Restrictions and Updates as at 25 February 2022

In accordance with Scouts Victoria directions to comply with current government health directions, the following restrictions and directions are currently in place until further notice:

Indoor Scouting

  • Anybody aged 18 years or over must have received at least 2 doses of COVID vaccine, or have a medical exemption, to attend indoor Scouting. This includes leaders, helpers, visitors, Rovers, 18 year old Venturers, parents who are spectating or helping out, and hall hirers (unless they are an essential public support service).
  • Parents who are dropping off/ picking up do not need to be vaccinated if they are in the hall for less than 15 minutes and are not involved in any activities.
  • Unvaccinated people aged 18 years or over can enter a hall to access bathrooms, to shelter from severe weather or to escape from an unsafe situation / emergency.
  • Although community halls still require QR Code check-in and a COVID Check-in Marshal, an attendance record is preferred as the Scout group or activity are responsible for informing contacts.
  • Face masks are no longer required in most indoor or outdoor situations, but are still required when serving food, providing first aid or travelling on buses or public transport.
  • There are no density limits indoors.

Hall Hires

  • Unless the hall is being used for an essential public support service, everybody aged 18 years or over must be fully vaccinated (2 doses) or have a medical exemption.

  • Hall hirers must follow the rules regarding wearing face masks and anybody aged 8 years or over must wear a face mask when serving food, providing first aid or travelling on buses or public transport.
